These programs of study can range in time length anywhere from a few months long to a traditional four year program, depending upon what kind of degree or certification you are seeking and what particular kind of graphic design job you are seeking.

Any
business that wants to get money from consumer knows that advertising is the
key to good marketing. Any product or service that is available on the market
needs to be seen in order to be bought.
When
a product goes unadvertised it is generally left up to a shopper to stumble
upon the product, or to be recommended by a friend. Using this method alone is
a very poor way of spreading the word about the product. The company needs to
use a much more active approach.
In
advertising a product, the company is doing a number of things. First it is
making the public aware that such a product even exists. Then it is providing
information about the product. And thirdly it is creating interest in the
product.
When
a new product is advertised on posters or the packaging of a similar product
sold by the same company, interest is roused in this new product. Many people
decide to try something new at least once, if they are intrigued by what they
have seen in the advertisement. If they like the product, of course, they will
buy it again, and hopefully become a continued buyer.

people see the product they will recognize it in stores and will be more likely
to purchase it, as they have some previous knowledge of the product.

the use of good advertising, produced by a competent graphic designer, a
product can go from being unknown to a popular favorite. It is all a matter of
presenting the product in a positive way, and getting the interest started.
